Importing an Oliver to Canada

Many Oliver owners live in Canada. The import process is straightforward, and Oliver works with Canadian buyers regularly. Here's what you need to know.

The Canadian Import Process

1

RVIA Certification

All Oliver Travel Trailers carry the RVIA seal, which is recognized by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Transport Canada. This simplifies the import and registration process significantly.

2

Propane Systems

Oliver can configure propane systems to meet Canadian standards (CSA B149.1). Discuss this with your Oliver sales specialist before ordering if you plan to import to Canada.

3

Import Duties & Taxes

Canadian buyers typically pay GST/HST on the purchase value, plus applicable provincial taxes. Duty rates for US-manufactured RVs vary — consult the CBSA or a customs broker before your purchase.

4

VIN & Title

Oliver provides all required documentation including the Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO), which is needed for Canadian title and registration.

5

Driving It Home

Many Canadian buyers drive to Hohenwald for delivery and tow their Oliver home across the border. Border crossing with a new trailer is routine — bring your MSO and purchase documentation.
